The following work samples (in German) are from Björn Rick.

Example 1

The weakness of "one-dimensional" bubble charts compensated well here by using multi-charts. The multiple bubble chart shown here is taken from the second generation of Hi-CHART templates. In this example, a distinction is made between the three classes of markets and the notations PY, ACT, BUD, and FC.

Example 2

This example also is taken from the second generation of Hi-CHART templates. It compares the development ACT with BUD for four products in different markets as absolute and percentage deviations.

Example 3

This example contains a classic table solution in based on SUCCESS. In the earnings statement shown here, a selection can be made between the various Δ calculations (Δ-PY, Δ-BUD, Δ-FC) via a selection box. Large deviations in percent can be assigned additional substitute characters (???), without neglecting the issue of scaling. The solution shown here is based on Microsoft Excel. However, similar solutions can be implemented using many BI applications.

Example 4

This report page is taken from the business report of a major DAX company. External sales were visualized using rings. This contained low information density, was hard to read, and difficult to compare. The report page shown here contains roughly 60 times more information, displaying deviations and indicating trends.
