Andreas Wiener, Magister Artium

Andreas Wiener is a Certified SUCCESS Consultant. Following his studies in humanities as a research analyst, he worked for a management consulting company and has been with BLUEFORTE GmbH since 2009. As a management consultant, he is responsible for interdepartmental management reporting and establishment of the business field of Visual Business Intelligence. He is the author of the book Visual Business Intelligence to be published in 2012 and holds lectures at universities on a regular basis.

Example 1

Sales of ELLI AG by region, sales channel, and product

This example shows a high level of information density – see CONDENSE. The charts for the separate sales channels by region and product are not shown one after the order, they are shown instead in one exhibit. This makes is possible for the viewer to make comparisons. The highlighting serves to underscore the message stated.
 

Example 2

Sales of Automotive AG by business segment

This example shows sales by business segment. The viewer sees the deviations from the previous year and the development in each business segment by quarter. Through the highlighting , the viewer is able to understand the reason behind the development.
