Inserting, cleaning, resizing

Here you will learn how to snap a chart into a specified position accurately down to the last pixel and remove unnecessary objects (help lines, y-axis, legends, etc.) quickly.

Here you will learn how to work with the new Excel 2007 color designs.

Lesson 3

Format templates

Here you will learn how to store recurring formatting centrally as cell format templates and make them available in Excel document templates.

Lesson 4

Labels, width, Y-sequence

Here you will learn how to incorporate a value label for columns, determine column width via spacing width, and match the vertical sequence of the data series in the chart with the sequence of the table.

X-axis line

Here you will learn how to incorporate an x-axis line in the chart, the thickness of which is controlled via a configuration value in one cell.

Lesson 7

Add-in LINK function

Here we present the LINK function of our free add-in Chart-Me. This function accelerates linking chart labels to external cells.

Lesson 8

Navigating in the chart

Here you will learn how to specifically select and edit objects in the chart using the keyboard or the mouse.

Lesson 9 : X-place holder

Here you will learn how to position the chart in the x-direction externally via cell input.

Lesson 10 : Y-scaling

Here you will learn how to determine the y-scaling externally - either manually or calculated with a formula. This is above all interesting if you want to set the same scaling for several charts.

Lesson 11 : Y-positioning

Here you will learn how to determine the y-position of the chart externally. This is important if the chart template should also be able to display negative values. This can be positioned on any level of the x-axis.

Lesson 12 : Labeling X-axis

Here you will learn how to attach a two-line axis label freely positioned.

Lesson 13 : Legends

Here you will learn how to attach a legend for the data series to the left or right of the chart, which is positioned automatically in the middle of each of the neighboring columns.

Lesson 14 : Vertical lines

Here you will learn how to place a vertical line as a hyphen between any two columns.

Lesson 15 : Two-color x-axis

Here you will learn how to incorporate a data-directed color change in the x-axis line.

Lesson 16 :Arrows

Here you will learn how to incorporate arrows and other graphs exactly into the chart and position them using coordinates which are calculated in cells.

Lesson 17 : Hiding small values

Here you will learn how to show or hide individual labels. In this example, the value labels are only shown if they are greater than a specified value.

Lesson 18 : Labeling points

Here you will learn how to create a column label as a scatter chart to position them freely. Standard columns labels, on the other hand, are only possible in centered alignment.

Lesson 19 : Message, title, footnote

Here you will learn how to create labels with a set position such as message, title and footnote with a cell range behind the chart.

Lesson 20 : Excel Camera

Here you will learn how to display the view in cell areas on a specified position with the help of linked pictures.

Lesson 21 : Linking with PowerPoint 

Here you will learn how to design a cell area in Excel large enough to be linked with PowerPoint in 100% original size accurately down to the last pixel. Several rules must be observed when linking with PowerPoint so that PowerPoint will be updated when changes are made in the linked Excel sheet.
