ADD-INS

Installation

An Excel add-in will have the file extension "xla" in versions up to Excel 2003. Add-in files can be located in any directory for installation, but it is particularly easy if an add-in is loaded to the default directory for add-ins: …/Anwendungsdaten/Microsoft/AddIns

Step 1: Copy the XLA file to the Add-ins default directory.

Step 2: In Excel, open the menu Extras / Add-ins...

Step 3: The "Add-ins" form will now open. Here place a checkmark next to the CHART-ME file just loaded and confirm with OK

The add-in is now fully installed.

If the desired add-in file has not been loaded to the default directory for add-ins, the add-in will not be displayed in the selection. You must first add this via "Browse."

To uninstall, simply remove the checkmark and confirm with OK. The add-in file can then be deleted, but it is not necessary.
